1. Members must have current Membership Card in their possession at all times while on LWCA grounds. Members must accompany their guests and register them with the guard. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests. Anyone eligible for Membership under the LWCA By-Laws cannot be registered as a guest of a Member. Senior Members are entitled to up to two Membership Cards.
2. Abusive language or offensive behavior will not be tolerated from anyone.
3. The beach is open daily until 9:30 PM. The lifeguard is on duty from 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM.* There is no lifeguard on duty on rainy days. The lifeguard is not on duty when providing swimming lessons. The lifeguard does not perform baby-sitting duties, especially at the playground equipment. The lifeguard has full authority over all LWCA property and the lifeguard's instructions must be followed at all times.
* Presently, there is insufficient Member income with which to hire a lifeguard.
4. All swimmers must stay within the designated swimming area.
5. Fishing is prohibited within the designated swimming area.
6. Any boats, inflatable or otherwise, must be used outside of the designated swimming area or at the discretion of the lifeguard, and are used at your own risk. Members' boats may be docked in the designated area on the LWCA grounds. When not in use the boat must be turned upside down, chained and locked. Its oars should not be left with the boat.
7. Balls and Frisbees must not be thrown on or near sanded area except at the discretion of the lifeguard.
8. No children under the age of 10 are allowed anywhere on LWCA property unless accompanied by an adult. In the presence of a lifeguard, no children under the age of 13 are allowed in the water unless accompanied by an adult. In the absence of a lifeguard, no children under the age of 16 are allowed in the water unless accompanied by an adult. Swimming is at your own risk. Parents are responsible for watching their children and must supervise them at all times.
9. All Members are responsible for keeping the LWCA facilities clean and neat. No glass bottles or containers are allowed on LWCA property. Trashcans are provided for litter disposal. Do not put cigarettes or litter in the water or sand. Cans for cigarette butts are available at the Civic Center. Please clean the picnic area after using.
10. Except during LWCA functions, no alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted on LWCA property.
11. Except in the parking lot, no motorized vehicles, motorcycles or bicycles are allowed anywhere on LWCA property.
12. No animals are allowed anywhere on LWCA property, including the dam.
13. Failure to comply with these rules may result in revocation of Membership.
